That’s a Wrap! November on Almost Ginger

November’s just been a weird, weird month. The dark nights have well and truly set in, it’s freezing all the time, and everyone’s good and proper in the Christmas spirit. I guess November’s a weird month in general, but was made weirder by being an odd month to go for a weekend Amsterdam. I did manage to catch a lot of films too, so there’s that. Let’s have a look at everything I got up to in November…

What I’ve been watching

Not too bad, if I do say so myself. There were a lot of re-watches this month as I had a lot of films on in the background whilst writing blogs. As you’ll be able to see soon, I wrote A LOT this month. I’m also desperate to finish my 183 films (one for every other day of this year) so there’s that. 19 more films and I’ve done it!!

Re-watches: Christmas with the Kranks (2004), The Santa Clause (1994), The Santa Clause 2 (2002), The Da Vinci Code (2006), Angels and Demons (2009), Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), Star Wars: A New Hope (1977), Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (1980), Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1983), Fargo (1996), Goodfellas (1990), Argo (2012), Inglourious Basterds (2009)

Screenings: Arrival (2016), Who’s Going to Love me Now? (2016), How to meet a Mermaid (2016), The Eagle Huntress (2016), Bridget Jones’ Baby (2016), Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (2016), I, Daniel Blake (2016)

New watches: Sisters (2015), Spy (2015), Finding Dory (2016), Melinda and Melinda (2004), The Motorcycle Diaries (2004), Blazing Saddles (1974), Aparajito (1956), Apur Sansar (1959), 13th (2016), What Happened, Miss Simone? (2015), Home Alone: Lost in New York (1992), Jurassic World (2015), Zodiac (2007), Trainwreck (2015)

TV Shows: Catching up on Season 2 of The Flash, The Middle, The Big Bang Theory, Planet Earth II

My reviews of the films I saw at Amsterdam Film Festival (IDFA) |

Where I’ve been

At the beginning of the month, I went to the World Travel Market at the ExCel in London to meet up with some of my blogger friends and meet some brands. I have to say it was really successful overall! Keep reading over the next couple of months as soon you’ll be seeing some blog posts from my first ever press trip!

Then, I went to Amsterdam for the IDFA Documentary Film Festival. The films I saw were genuinely really good, but I wouldn’t recommend Amsterdam in November. One day was really nice, but the others were wet and miserable and so windy I thought I was going to get blown into the canals!

What’s coming up in December…

I’m suuuuuper looking forward to Christmas and the New Year, me and the bf are going to Paris!! Cole’s birthday is in the middle of Christmas and New Year which is such a lame time to have your birthday, so we decided to head off somewhere. I wasn’t in a Christmassy mood at all last year, but this year I’m going to make more of an effort by heading to the Manchester Christmas Markets with my family,  probably baking some cookies and watching A TONNE of Christmas films. Merry Christmas everyone!

5 Goals for December:

  1. Finish the Grammar section of my TEFL certificate
  2. Get presents sorted for Christmas and generally be as jolly as possible
  3. Finish watching 183 films!
  4. Write my list of goals for 2017
  5. Give my belongings a sort through and see if I can de-clutter anything for the new year

Did you get up to much this November?
