Last New Year’s Eve I went to visit Paris over New Year. It’s a fantastic time of year to get away for a break as a lot of companies (if you don’t work in the service industry, that is!) in the UK have an office closure. And how overhyped is New Year, amiright? We managed to get away for five nights and honestly, you need at least a long weekend in Paris to even put a dent in.
Holy moly, there’s a lot to do when you visit Paris. I will write more extensively about my trip to Paris over the next few weeks but suffice to say it was bus-ay.
And let us not forget December/January in Paris is COLD. Like, dayum cold. You really don’t want to spend all day skipping around the streets of Montmartre for laughs and snap-snapping away when you feel an icy brisk shivering your timbers.
This is the long and winding way of saying I didn’t have the luxury of waiting around to grab the perfect shot. But thankfully, I’m still really chuffed with what I photographed. Paris was either clear and crisp or moody and misty. And both were very welcome!
Have a little looksee at how beautiful Paris can be in the winter…
