21+ Halloween Movies for Scaredy Cats

Vampires, Werewolves, Witches, oh my! For some of us, Halloween equates to Halloween movies that are scary, terrifying and sleep reducing unnecessary torture devices. But that needn’t be the case. There are so many Halloween movies that, whilst some are specifically produced for children, still get you in the festive spirit without the need to hide behind a pillow. Check out my list of 21+ Halloween movies for wimps like you and me!

Okay, Okay. The Cabin in the Woods is definitely the scariest on this list and others might tell you it is scary. But trust me, it’s really not. The concept is so awesome you’ll not be concentrating on the scares and you’ll see them coming, anyway.

What are your favourite Halloween movies? Do you love horror or are you a wimp like me?

Very nice list. I’ve seen almost all of these and really enjoyed them. Some others that fit the bill for you…

    Monster Squad
    Monster House
    Coraline
    Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein
    Hotel Transylvania

These last two are on the gory side, but they’re really comedies
    Tucker and Dale vs. Evil

Thanks! Yeah I thought about Coraline but I went with Paranorman instead… I didn’t want to include too many animated kids films and just went for the ones I watched as a kid. I wish I’d have included Labyrinth and Dark Crystal now though!
